Rates and Terms

Prices per square metre, because that is how tiles arrive.

Prices are in euros. The tiling rates per square metre are labour only. Adhesive, grout, membrane, levelling compound and trims come from us and are itemised on the quote. The tiles are yours to buy, from a list we send.

Regrouting, or replacing cracked tiles from your spares. Below €350, most of the bill would be the drive and the setting up.

The balance is due on completion, after you've walked the floor in socks.

Waiting, working, driving

Waiting
About 6 weeks for a bathroom start. 2-3 weeks for splashbacks and small floors.
Working
8-10 working days for a small bathroom. Membrane and adhesive get the curing time printed on the bag, not less.
Driving
Up to about 40 km across Tallinn and Harju County, which covers Viimsi, Maardu, Saue, Keila and Saku. Further out only for jobs over 15 m².
Winter
November to March, no unheated rooms or summer houses. Adhesive needs the room above +5 °C for a week.

  • The tiles, from a quantity list we send you
  • 10% added for cuts on a straight layout
  • 15% added for herringbone or diagonal
  • Chosen from a sample you've seen in daylight

We bring, itemised

  • Adhesive and grout
  • Waterproofing membrane
  • Levelling compound
  • Trims for edges and thresholds

We don't sell tiles, so there is no markup on them to hide.

Four tiles, one pencilled box

We leave four spare tiles from your batch, wrapped, with the batch number written in pencil on the box, under your sink. Batches drift in shade, and in five years you'll be glad nobody had to match a cracked one from a new pallet.

How a job gets booked

  1. Write in. Dimensions, daylight photos and the tile you have in mind. Answered within two working days.
  2. Survey visit. Weekday evening 17-19 or Saturday 10-14. Free in Tallinn, €40 elsewhere, deducted if you book.
  3. Itemised quote. Labour by the square metre, every bag and trim listed, plus your tile quantity list.
  4. 20% books the date. The rest is paid on completion, once the floor has passed the socks test.
